little update

So, I’ve been playing around a *teensy* bit with web hooks.. thanks to the “Webhooks for dummies’ company IFTTT.. and it is SOOOO cool! 

So, this is the post that’ll eventually show up at all my sites.. from here, it goes to my Bluesky profile thanks to an app that shares automagically from here to there.. so long as I have a Feature Image and this feature image…

Bowness Teeny Tiny Galleries.. Season Two is on the horizon!

This post also goes, unpublished, to 5(five!) other sites that I am developing.. including Savage Progress, Wet Pedals, and more. I’m psyched with the connectionism since.. I see Savage Progress as my RETIREMENT plan! I mean, Ocean Cyclist will only take two to three years (at 4Kn/ hr, 14 hr pedalling days I should be pissing about on the oceans for 375 passage days.. with another few days thrown in for “breaks and explorations” and then.. who knows so… two years. not three. It might be three if I switch out my propellers for.. other materials 😉 ).

Anywho…
with this post I am testing out the PAUSED infrastructure. As in- this is posted as a DRAFT to the next site in the chain (Savage Progress) and the task is to see (I have 99.9% certainty but.. I want a full esperiential guarantee) if 1. it’ll post through as a DRAFT and 2. when I set the post as LIVE on SavageProgress.. does it, then, post through to the other sites?

Having some fun.. spread the news.. I’m PSYCHED for what is on the horizon- a LOT of work but it’s what I am passionate about so.. is it really work?!?!

About to..

Gear up in to massive productionism.

I’ve been heavy at work with The General Bean and examining cross- over interests with that company for about the last two months.. two and a half months. So much so that work on OceanCyclist has robbed my time there (but, in a necessary and needed manner so, it wasn’t wasted time!)

 

Right now.. I’m testing out the IFTTT cross- posting infrasttructure. If it works OC -> SavageProgress, I’ll be ditching BLOG posting here.. I’ll also be ditching galleries and membership options. If people wanna sign up, they can.. and it will be massively appreciated but Savage Progress is something I see that has more longevity.. longer life span.. and falls squarely within my overall wheelhouse of MEDIA minded output! So, Ocean Cyclist will be short(ish) lived.. Savage Progress will be the work I do for the rest of my life promoting SUSTAINABILITY and equality!

Memberships, there, are gonna be cheap.. with In- App purchases for event tickets and stuff like that. 

 

And with that.. the IFTTT connection WORKS so.. Posting at OceanCyclist.com will be coming to an end (I mean, I’ll be posting here but it’ll be showing up there.. and crossposting out from there to several other websites!). So, I guess memberships will still exist here.. you can sign up and read here directly.. or head over there and read my posts and OTHER peoples posts for less $$

We’re looking for an event Hostess!

The Event Hostess is an unique but integral position for 30 hour funding “stream 0 thons” that will be taking place throughout the Ocean Cyclist global circumnavigation! Check out the event schedule HERE for more of an idea of when and where…

The events are described as Location Anchored Hybrid Events.. when Ocean Cyclist gets to a specific destination, the fund raising stream will start that Friday at 6pm and continue uninterrupted through to the next day at midnight. Through the event, there will be different “break out” rooms based on content for musical, theatrical, and generally artistic performances.. there’ll be an “artisans alley” for creative and juried artists and there’ll be time/ space for sponsors/ supporters of The Project to have their time in front of the camera.

And the audience will be In Person as well as ONLINE.. hence, HYBRID.  

And through it all will be a Host and Hostess TEAM bringing the audience IN from other activities and sending them out to other rooms. M. Scott Ault will be spinning on his trainer for the duration.. spinning for pledges to raise more money so that the next leg of the journey can take place. We’re going to be networking with different business (like.. Pubs, basically) to REBROADCAST the streams.. so you~ if chosen~ could be seen by thousands of people in hundreds of businesses.. in dozens of different cities… AND GETTING PAID TO DO IT!

SAIL AROUND THE WORLD???

Wait, what?!?! No, you won’t have to be in the microboat with M. Scott Ault but this publication is being launched in support of his project Ocean Cyclist.. AND to have a ton of fun!! Anyhow- he wants people to arrive at destinations ahead of him to make arrangements, finalize plans, etc.. and have some fun. The core concept: you’ll get a nominal Per Diem while at sea and a larger Per Diem on land, all costs and fees are covered (like, accommodation,  food, visas… etc.) AND if you last the entire journey.. not only will you be able to say you SAILED AROUND THE WORLD but.. you’ll get a nice balloon payment to set you on your way. Sound like a deal?

It’s a three step process that starts with the application.. once all applicants are compiled, there’ll be VOTING (free for site members) and finally.. a ZOOM based interview with talent component.

All submissions will receive a confirmation email c/w a Google Doc hosted info pack to get you up to speed.

“Page Three” girls hold a storied position in publishing history. In the UK, performers such as Samantha Fox got their start on page Three and in Canada, The Sun newspaper chain took up the gauntlet and worked with hundreds of individuals from Ottawa to Vancouver. It was a fun period in print publishing.

Today, we are borrowing the idea and taking it a bit further. 

Apply for your chance to have a pictorial all about YOU and to be added to the list of potential travelling models that’ll arrive at specific and~ mostly~ exotic locations ahead of M. Scott Ault in his micro boat. He’ll be pedalling while you’ll be modelling, organizing, having fun in places like Auckland, NZ… Sidney, Aus., Cairo.. and MORE!

Introduction

Savage Progress is..
…savage about sustainability!

We are looking for Content Submissions in MANY different departments.. from Book Reviews to Tutorials on sustainablism. What do you wanna write about? Let us know and we’ll get back to you with acceptance and/ or publication schedules. 

I admit, this post is being displayed at many various points on the site.. that is so I can have the menu items.. and slowly build content pages for the individual elements as goals. I’ll be back, shortly, to do so.. right now, I’m off seeking sponsorships and product donations for audience growth potentials and setting up a cool art show for mid to late April.

~ At this time, we are not looking for exclusive content. So long as it doesn’t breech existing rules/ terms, material can be already published.
~ There is a $25 CAD application fee.. this is for veracity of the application.. the fee will be returned to you with your first honoraria payment.
